So is there a pecking order of slot vehicle producers? How would you rate one brand over another, say, your top choice down to the poorest? Or is it simply individual preference and opinion? One comment I noted said Scalextric cars were basically toys, suggesting there are better quality and more detailed 1:32 cars out there from other manufacturers. With an Arc Pro set up, but excluding Scalextric cars made for job and those with their DPR conversion, what other car options do I have? What brands will run digital on my layout without, or with minor, modification? Are there brands to avoid due to compatability issues?Īnd secondly, relating to general quality of cars.

There are some lovely 1:32 models out there across all brands, with some commanding extortionate prices and I'm sure this might be down to desirability as much as anything else. I've been trawling through many excellent detailed reviews on these pages giving valuable opinions on specific slot cars, but as a 2nd time around newbie I'm struggling to find basic generic info on each brand compatibility.
